Just thought to share this information which I think is useful.
"My dear Nigerian Christian song writer/ minister, PLEASE !!! there's nothing spiritual about NOT registering or copy-writing your songs, in fact it is scriptural and spiritual. That's why there are such things as the Psalms of David, song of Moses, epistle of John, Paul, Mark, Matthew etc. Most of the very beautiful hymns we sing today aren't any different either. At the very least, let's know you, the story behind the song(s) and celebrate God's grace.I got an email from Israel Houghton requesting to do a Nigerian song we did on our Choir album project, but there was no way to trace the writer. Indeed most Naija Choruses are tagged PUBLIC DOMAIN SONGS, in order words "we nor sabi the writer".
